AERO BYLAWS
Membership in AERO is open to information providers representing the departments of agricultural economics and related institutional libraries and reference rooms.
The conference, hosted by an AERO member, will be held every 18-24 months.
The Executive Committee shall consist of President, President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, Webmaster, AAEA/ESIRC Liaison, Historian, and ex officio members: the current AAEA/ESIRC Chair, the U.S. Department of Agriculture/Economic Research Service AERO member. The National Agriculture Library AERO member serves as a liaison to the Executive Committee..
The President shall conduct the Business Meeting at the AERO Conference and shall act as advisor to the next conference organizer.
The President-Elect shall be the next conference organizer and host. After the conference, the President-Elect shall become President.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall be responsible for taking the minutes at the AERO conference; shall send a report to any funding source within a month after the conference, and send a copy of the same report to the AAEA/ESIRC committee chair and the AAEA president and executive secretary.
The AAEA/ESIRC Liaison shall be AERO's representative to the AAEA/Economic Statistics and Information Resources Committee; shall contact the ESIRC Chair to make information about the upcoming conference available to the departments of agricultural economics chairs and to encourage them to send a representative; and shall attend the AAEA/ESIRC annual meeting.
