AGD (Crushing/Exporter)

Learn about South American Soybean industry with input companies and crushing/exporters. Also an introduction to beef industry while visiting Cargill

Liniers Cattle Market

JBS Swift Processing/Packaging Plant

Social Rural de Argentina

This day will focus on the beef industry with a visit to the Liniers cattle market and a tour of the JBS Swift processing/packaging plant. The day will end with a policy discussion at the Sociedad Rural Argentina

Saladillo, BA Province

El Tejar Grain and Beef Farm Tour

AACREA

 

 

This day will focus on improving farm management. El Tejar will share their unique multi-national management structure and philosophy. We will tour a farm and learn more about their production practices and management. The day will conclude with a visit to AACREA to learn about how they help producers improve their management.

Rosario Argentina

John Deere

T-6

We will leave BA early to visit the river port city of Rosario. We will visit John Deere Argentina to learn about their South American operation. We will then visit a crushing/export and biodiesel terminal (the largest in Argentina).

Rosario Board of Trade

We will visit the Rosario Board of Trade to learn how many Argentine grain producers market their production.

Trip to Feedlots in BA or Santa Fe Province

Argentina Feedlots

We will visit two feedlots in Argentina to learn about an alternative to the grass-fed beef industry

Return to Bs. As

Day open to see city, shopping

Learn more about a foreign city and culture

Grass-fed beef operation

We will spend time visiting David Hughes who has participated in an excellent managerial course for producers delivered by Texas A&M
