You need a passport book to enter Argentina. You should apply for a passport as soon as possible to ensure that you have this document for the study-tour. You can not enter Argentina without a passport. You should study the State Department website (http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738_2.html) for all passport information.  Many U.S. Post Offices can help you with this application. Contact your local post office and ask them about applying for a passport.

To Apply in Person for a U.S. Passport You MUST:

1. Provide Application for Passport, Form DS-11 from the State Department website (the URL is listed above).  NOTE: Please do NOT sign the DS-11 application form until the Passport Acceptance Agent instructs you to do so.

2. Present Proof of U.S. Citizenship. A certified birth certificate from your county is needed to prove your citizenship.

3. Your valid driver’s license.

4. Provide 2 Passport Photos. You can get these photos from your local pharmacy or Wal-Mart. 

5. Pay the Fee of $100.
