Does It Pay to Harvest Cotton This Year?

With a projected South Carolina average yield of 369 pounds per acre, the 2002 cotton crop will likely be the worst since 1983. With such low projected yields, producers need to evaluate their decisions to harvest Dr. Todd Davis, Extension Ag Economist, has prepared a spreadsheet to help with this decision.
