Master of Science in Applied Economics and Statistics
Non-Thesis Option

The Non-thesis option M.S. program is designed to provide practical training in economics and business and in one of five options. The program is designed for individuals who intend to pursue careers in business or agribusiness or careers in the public sector.

Non-thesis option M.S. students must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of course work with 21 hours in courses number 800 or above. Students have the opportunity to participate in an internship or a cooperative learning experience. Also required is a professional paper on a topic approved by the M.S. committee.

The five options are

                               Agribusiness
                               Regional economic development
                               Environmental and natural resource economics
                               Applied Statistics
